This lesson includes an interactive read aloud, practice with inferencing, and a social emotional learning component at the end. The lesson focused on an anchor text: Farmer Will Allen and the Growing Table.
This lesson guides the students through creating a house base out of paper, and how to add modifcations to their base to make it fit to survive extreme weather. It is also an introductory lesson for an end of year Project Based Learning activity.
This lesson is inspired by the mystery genre, where students are tasked with interviewing witnesses and putting evidence together to solve for the length of the missing side of a shape.
This slide deck contains a week of asynchronous reading/writing activities based on the anchor text: Thank You, Mr. Falker. The activities focus on different aspects of the book and on the grammar skill of shades of meaning.
